Attorneys

Mark T McLeod
My interest in practicing Law sprouted in my undergraduate studies. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University in Economics and Philosophy. I attended and obtained my J.D. from Mississippi College’s School of Law. During law school, I not only met my law partner but also my life partner, Genevieve. We have been practicing law together since 2005 and started our Portland firm in 2015. I enjoy problem solving, and with my nearly 15 years of experience as a practicing attorney, I have learned how to apply this to my legal practice in a way that is beneficial to my clients. I help my clients navigate the tumultuous waters of divorce, child custody and property distribution issues. I excel at engaging courts in matters of modifications of orders and emergency proceedings. I can help modify or change existing child support, spousal support, child custody, parenting plans, and property division orders. I am invested in getting the best results possible for all of my clients and assuring a satisfactory outcome for their cases.

Genevieve G McLeod
I have been a practicing attorney for over 14 years. I primarily engage in the practice of family law and personal injury. I am a strong advocate for the rights of my clients when trouble strikes in the form of marital discord or physical injury. My keen attention to detail helps me strengthen my client's position and develop a strong case against any opponent. I have practiced law since I graduated with honors from the Mississippi College School of Law in 2003. Immediately following law school, I worked as a law clerk for the Supreme Court of Mississippi. Mark and I established our law firm in downtown Portland, Oregon so we could have the opportunity to raise our family in the Pacific Northwest. I delve deep into my client’s dilemmas, so I can develop a thorough understanding and devise a strong plan to execute the goals of my clients.
